William Morris Bough

$17.95

Mae Morris, the daughter of Morris and one of Britain's leading embroiderers, was inspired by her father's keen observation of the details and the variety of forms of willow leaves during her stay at Kemlscott Manor, and created this work. I said I drew it. It is said to be Morris & Co.'s representative work, capturing the lively appearance of a willow with branches and leaves stretching upwards. Pont Neuf's saddle-stitched notebook uses letterpress printing for the cover, and expresses the vivid willow branches drawn by Morris in three dimensions.
