Have you ever seen a March hare?
The only March hare I've ever seen or heard of is the one from Alice in Wonderland. How about you? Does a March hare really exist?
These are just a couple of the questions running through my mind as we've moved into this month of transition. The weather, the time (daylight savings) and the seasons are all in flux during March. Some people find times of change tricky, so I thought we'd take a look at something steady and grounding. A stone. That is, March's gemstone: aquamarine.
Do you or someone you know have a birthday in March? If so, you've probably seen the beautiful colour of an aquamarine. It's pale blue through pale green hues are reminiscent of the sea. It has a calming effect, much like water.
There are some famous aquamarines in the world, including the ones worn by Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana. On her wedding day, Meghan Markle wore Princess Diana's striking emerald-cut aquamarine ring as her 'something blue'.
