Journaling with Jewel Tones

As we tiptoe into autumn, colour palettes begin to shift around us. In fact, it seems like a good time to focus on one of my favourite groups – jewel tones.

These deeply saturated hues, most of which are named after gemstones, make excellent and interesting ink colours. Their dark colour provides contrast to the light colour of paper. The variations of green, blue, purple, yellow, and red are captivating and have a mysterious quality to their beauty.
