The Metallic Hues of Olympic Medals
Have you been following our Canadian athletes in the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics? We’ve watched several sports and felt a range of emotions along the way.
Overall, we’ve been greatly inspired by many participants, from Canada as well as from other countries. Each of these world-class athletes demonstrate leadership qualities: vision, determination, consistency and courage. The antithesis of those who complain about the little things in life, these athletes exhibit grace under (sometimes incredible amounts of) pressure and bring out the best in themselves and those around them. Their strength and character energizes us!
As of the time of writing, Canada has won a few silver and bronze medals – and we anticipate gold around the corner! To date, we’ve won medals in the following sports:
Gold
- Men's Dual Moguls (Freestyle Skiing)
Silver
- Men's Moguls (Freestyle Skiing)
- Mixed Team Relay (Short Track Speed Skating)
- Men's Snowboard Cross (Snowboard)
- Women's 1000m (Short Track Speed Skating)
Bronze
- Ice Dance (Figure Skating)
- Women's Freeski Slopestyle (Freestyle Skiing)
- Women's 3000m (Speed Skating)
- Women's 500m (Short Track Speed Skating)
- Men's 500m (Speed Skating)
