The Royal Touch

The Victoria Day long weekend is coming up, in honour of Queen Victoria. Canada is also hosting King Charles III and Queen Camilla at the end of the month. If you've been reading regularly, you'll know we featured the regal colour purple a couple of weeks ago. All this (along with watching a period piece or two) got us thinking about royalty. 

There are several references to all things regal in the stationery and gifts world. If I close my eyes and imagine myself seated at an opulent table, I can hear and feel thick parchment unraveling in my hands. There's the iconic royal seals. Crown, fleur-de-lis and castle motifs. Luxurious ribbons.
