It’s a great day at Figg Street Co. when a shipment from a new brand arrives. I’m happy to share my excitement with you in unveiling our new Apica notebooks from Japan!

Apica notebooks are very popular and have a loyal following. They were founded in Osaka, Japan in 1916 as Japan Notebook Manufacture and started using the name Apica in 1973. They’re one of Japan’s well-known and legendary notebook makers.

They’re popular with stationery lovers because their paper is fountain pen friendly and their notebooks are an affordable option for students and anyone wanting a casual, everyday workbook. They feature 70 GSM paper in their B5 size books and 86.5 GSM paper in their A5 size books.

This notebook paper is exclusive to Apica and has been developed in collaboration with Oji Paper. Oji has a reputation for responsible manufacturing and sustainable forestry practices while making beautifully smooth fountain pen friendly paper.

Have you ever written in an Apica notebook? Would you like to give it a try? We’d be delighted to hear about your experience with these popular notebooks.
