Do you wear your heart on your sleeve?
A week from this Saturday is Valentine’s Day and we’re wondering: how do you celebrate? Also, do you enjoy celebrating love and romance throughout the year? Do you wear your heart on your sleeve?
Some things that make my heart sing:
- Saying thank you for the delivery of cups of tea or coffee
- Dinner being made when you don’t feel like making it
- Spontaneous gift giving when one least expects it
Other activities I like for Valentine’s Day include doing something nice for others, such as baking some heart-shaped sugar cookies and hand delivering them or even shipping them with a little note that says “thinking of you” or “I love you”. Do you also find this fun?
At Figg Street Co., early February is often a time in the shop where many customers are looking for a special Valentine, decorative paper, and gifts for their special someone. We carry several greeting cards that can express your sentiments in words and pictures, and we also have stationery for you to write your own personal love letter. This year, we also have some special heart and love themed items from new brands like John Derian and Wanderlust Paper Co. A full selection of Valentine’s items can be found in-store; however, let’s take a look at a curated list here together:
If you have someone special you’re celebrating with this Valentine’s Day, we hope this issue has helped you in finding a way to express yourself. And if you’re flying solo, we hope you find time to celebrate love in all its forms, including loving friendships, nature, and yourself. To quote Love Actually, “love is all around”!
