There's a popular sentiment among people that the holidays revolves around children and childhood, including childhood memories. For some lucky ones, they have the experience or memory of receiving a dollhouse.

Dollhouses are not your typical gift. These are special, thought-through items that often take up valuable counter or floor space. While there are pre-packaged dollhouses that can be purchased, we think the most emotionally gratifying ones are made by, or with, those we love. It may be that someone with a talent for woodwork constructs the fundamental core and someone else decorates it. Or it may be gifted in its bare state, allowing the recipient to enjoy the process of designing and completing the aesthetics.

I never had a doll house growing up, but I would have loved one. It would be a fun project to decorate the interior. I know many others feel the same way. We've had customers at Figg Street Co. looking through the shop for items they use to build the dollhouse of their (or their child's) dreams.
