In the lead-up to the holidays, there are many opportunities to express your creativity. It can be fun to spend a weekend afternoon baking, crafting or decorating while listening to some carols to get into the Christmas spirit. I've also enjoyed get-togethers with friends, where we all make cookies and dessert bars together. You can apply this same approach to other making pursuits: invite a few friends or family members over, make some spiced tea, mulled wine or hot chocolate and create ornaments or other decorations together. It's a great way to make memories.
