It's finally here, spring! Many consider this to be the most optimistic of seasons: hope, fresh, new, spontaneity, surprises and delights are a few words often used in association with this vernal time. So, too, are branches, and the new delights found upon them in the spring: birds, buds, and blooms.

We often know spring is in the air when the weather warms and the skies possess a certain cheer. The snow and ice melts and streams flow again. We bathe in days of increasing light. It invites us outdoors with our mugs of coffee or tea and leads us to discover a seedling arising in the garden or the sound of birdsong.

We love the spontaneity of nature at this time of year. Each day there's something new to find outside, and we don't know what it will be: a colourful crocus, a bird returning from the south, or more fuzzy buds on the willow tree.

We also love the fresh, new items sprouting up in our shop at this time. There are a few favourites returning, as well as new additions to our shelves and tabletops we're excited to share with you!

What's new with you this spring? Have you noticed any returning signs of life in your garden or neighbourhood? Pop by the shop to tell us more.
