Have you felt the excitement of discovering a new ink you love? Perhaps it’s a new brand or collection, a new colour, or a new element, such as shading, sheen or sparkle.

At Figg Street Co., we draw pleasure from new inks. There’s so much variety in colour and saturation. Some inks are waterproof and archival. Inks can feel different in fountain pens as they touch paper – some are more wet, others lean dry. Just as pen selection is personal, so, too, is the choosing of ink.

Many stationery and pen lovers savour the process of selecting inks. It can make one’s heart go pitter-patter to open a fresh glass bottle and reveal colour on the page. This experience can be captured and relived by collecting your ink swatches in a booklet or on notecards. In this issue, we’ve curated a few items that are wonderful for trying out new inks.
